How to Use the Snow App: Get Awesome Selfie Filters for Snapchat & IG!

Now you can sign up for a Snow account. You can sign up with your Facebook account, Line account, or phone number. I’ll be using the Facebook option. Simply follow the instructions on your screen according to the sign up option you’ve chosen. Tap Allow All to allow Snow to access your camera, microphone, and photo gallery, then tap OK to confirm.

Once you complete the sign up process, you’ll see a camera window appear on your screen. You can use this to snap a new selfie if you want. Switch between your device’s front and back cameras with the rotating arrows in the top right corner. Control the flash with the lightning bolt icon. Tap the size icon to change the size of your image, then select the size you want to use. Tapping the menu icon in the top left corner will open a small menu with more options. To snap a selfie at any time, tap the circle in the middle at the bottom of your screen. To make things more fun, try out some of Snow’s effects and filters. Tap the makeup brush to check out their beauty effects. Tap an effect to apply it, then adjust the intensity of the effect with the slider above. Tap the middle of your screen to close the effects window. Tap the three circles in the bottom right corner to access filters. Just like with the effects, simply tap one of these filters to apply it, then adjust the intensity to your liking. The smiley face icon will open a menu of additional effects. There are a ton of these with lots of styles to choose from, like this one that splits your selfie in 4, or this one that gives you bunny ears. Any time you snap a selfie, it will be saved to your device’s camera roll.

If you’d like to further edit a selfie you’ve taken, or want to spruce up a selfie you took with your device’s regular camera app, tap the image icon in the bottom left corner. This will open up your camera roll. Tap the photo you want to use, then tap Edit in the bottom right corner. In the editing window, you can access the same effects and filters as you can in the camera interface. You can tap any effect to apply it, and adjust the intensity to your liking with the slider. There are also additional effects available in the editing interface. Tap the face icon to access facial editing tools, like skin smoothing, brightening, and slimming. Tap any effect to try it out, and use the slider to adjust it. If you like how it looks, tap the check mark in the bottom right corner to save. If not, tap the X to remove it. If you swipe horizontally over this menu, you’ll see even more facial editing tools for your eyes, nose, and mouth!

Tap the makeup brush icon to open a menu of beauty effects. Use these tools to add contour, blush, and lipstick, tint your eyebrows, and even add eyeshadow and liner. Tap the tool you want to use, then select a style you like. Adjust the intensity with the slider, and tap the check mark at the bottom to save. Repeat for any other makeup effects you want to add.

There are also more basic photo editing tools available. You can access them by tapping the adjustment icon. These tools include brightness, contrast, warmth, saturation, and more. Tap the smiley face to access the same fun filters as you could find in the selfie camera window. Tap any of these effects to apply it. When you’re all done editing your photo, tap the check mark in the top right corner to save it to your device’s camera roll.
