This device cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device Service is not started iPhone, iPad, iPod touch is not recognized in iTunes on Windows, the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) might need restarted. If you still have issues uninstall all the apple related items in your control panel. Then reinstall itunes.

Mine says Disabled :-/ and did a right click and all options are grey out :-/ and I have remove and re-install several versions of iTunes and still cant get it to work
My computer won't give me the option of Stop or Start. It's programmed to Running and I can't change it. I even unplugged my device from the computer.

hi, my apple mobile device is not 'running' to begin with, it says 'stopped' and when i try to start it this pops up "the apple mobile device service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs." idk what this means 🙁 please help.
